Vale Cr Rod Fyffe OAM
The Bendigo Regional Archives Centre are saddened to learn of the passing of Cr Rod Fyffe who was a staunch supporter of BRAC and of local history and heritage generally. He was Mayor when the Nolan Street repository was officially opened in 2012, and said at the event, “The facility will store records of significance… they will provide a vital community resource that not only tells central Victorians where they come from but who they are now.”
Cr Fyffe served on the BRAC Committee of Management and having majored in archaeology in his Bachelor of Arts degree, was an enthusiastic and knowledgeable participant in the growth and guidance of our organisation. BRAC send our condolences to his family and wide circle of friends, colleagues and constituents.
