COLLECTION

Public Records Office Victoria hold government records that have been determined to have long-term value to Victoria and Victorians – BRAC is used to store and make available some of those records as close to their place of origin as possible.

Public records include those produced in the process of the administration of justice, immigration, education, health, planning, land, transport and much more, including Council records. For more about what is kept by PROV and why, watch this short video, Records To Archives.

BRAC’s collection covers a broad area from Mildura to Donald, Kyabram to Taradale – take a look at the Maps & Plans page for our full coverage area. As archives are acquired and reassessed by Public Records Office Victoria, the BRAC collection grows and broadens – subscribe to our newsletters and follow our Facebook Page for updates on new records available at BRAC.

Bendigo Regional Archives Centre is a partnership between the City of Greater Bendigo, Public Record Office Victoria and Goldfields Libraries Corporation

Bendigo Regional Archives Centre (BRAC) is located on the traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung and the Taungurung Peoples. They are the traditional custodians of this land and we pay our respects to elders past, present and emerging.
